A design gift under the tree, always desired. It opens the doors to the second-hand universe, where wishes finally become true.
“I always liked it, with its little bird-shaped whistle. It has a simple but recognizable shape, like all design objects, has a timeless charm. Finding it under the tree, for me, fan of tea’s culture, was an extremely welcome surprise”.
We are at Estelle’s house, yoga teacher, Life & Corporate Coach, founder of a pop up yoga. Estelle is passionate about designer, she told us that she had received the 9093 Kettle of Alessi from one of her friends as Christmas gift, an icon created in 1985 by Michael Graves.
Estelle welcomes us in her new apartment in Milan, with a modern flavour. A living area where the kitchen immediately becomes the hub of social life.
“I love invite friends and cook for them. I believe that food is an important moment of sharing and conviviality. In this perspective, aesthetics and attention to detail become fundamental ingredients: they allow us to make the environment welcoming, telling others about us and our personality ”
Design for tea time …
“Tea is one of my passions, a relax time I can not give up, before leaving for my yoga classes. The 9093 Kettle makes these moments even more special, the whistle of the bird is now a ritual. I wanted this piece for a long time and – she laughs – this year I behaved so good that I deserved a wish under the tree for Christmas”.
“I did not know Deesup, but part of the gift was also having discovered this world. I think the second-hand is a wonderful way to make accessible what is out of reach for many people. We live in the age of sharing, things must be lived and enjoyed, but I also believe that the role of a serious interlocutor, such as Deesup, which guarantees the quality of products, is important”.
The design enters the good intentions for the new year…
“I will start to visit SHOP Deesup. I would like to find design pieces to furnish my new home. And then, who knows, maybe I could even decide to sell something, to give me something new. Thanks to the second-hand”.
Thanks Estelle for sharing your experience with us, see you next time!
